Meet the Montrose Family Chiropractic Staff
Get To Know Each Of Them:
I was born and raised in Montana, spending a lot of my time up the Bitterroot Valley on my grandparent’s cattle ranch. When I was not there with my older brother we were usually camping, hiking, and fishing with our Dad. After highschool I “spread my wings” by moving to Minnesota in July of 2000.
Two years later in 2002 I met and married my husband, Charlie. We bought our first houseand welcomed our first son Jorden at the end of that same year. When our son was only a year old we were in a head on collision. This was the first time I was introduced to Chiropractic care. Since then my family has recieved “chiro care”. A few years later we purchased our home in Silver Lake and have made it our home over these several years. We welcome our second son in 2005, and our very first stop from leaving the hospital with our brand new baby was to our Chiropractor. Our son slept through the night straight from the hospital. Over the years that our two boys have recieved Chiropractic care, we have never had to deal with childhood illnesses such as ear infections and colic.
In 2008 my family and I decided to be a surrogate family for someone less fortunate to have children on their own. In October of 2009, I gave birth to a boy for a wonderful man who will now forever be part of our family. Along with having my own children, to help give another family that same joy has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my life.
We also have two dogs, an English Springer named Eva, and a Chihuahua named Scrat!
I grew up in Cokato, MN where I have made my home there with my fiance and our three dogs. In February 2013 I started working as a Chiropractic Assistant for Montrose Chiropractic. Being first introduced to chiropractic while going to my mothers appointments. She was diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis and chronic back pain. It wasn’t until I was 8 years old that I became a chiropractic patient myself from having a hard fall off a slide at school. I continuted chiropractic care since I was avidly involved in marching band and drumline through my high school years.
I studied at Ridgewater College in Willmar, graduating in December of 2012 with my associates degree as a Certified Medical Assistant. Even though I have amedical background, I have always been a firm believer in Chiropractic.
My hobbies include gardening, swimming, sewing, and playing with my dogs; which are all possible with regular Chiropractic care!
Hi! My name is Alexis. I started receiving chiropractic care in 2002 for a pinched sciatic nerve. Unable to walk before I received treatment, Chiropractic gave me my life back.
Before moving to Minnesota, I was in the Army Reserves right out of High school. Shortly after, I completed my Associates degree in Liberal Arts, finally moved out of Ohio and recently bought my first house. I am currently working as a CA for one of the most phenomenal clinics I have ever been to. On the side I work on my photography and take care of my wonderful family.
My hobbies include spending time with my family, photography, reading, cooking, anything outside, meeting new people, singing as loud as I can, scrap booking, laughing as much as I can, and shopping.
My husband Lester and i live in Hutchinson, mn. We have been married for 32 years and have raised 2 wonderful sons (Tom and Steven) and now have an adorable grandson names Zachary. We have also adopted a family (Charlie, Dusty, Jorden and Dawson) who we count as our own. We enjoy anything outdoors, (hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, etc.) My personal hobbies are gardening and scrapbooking.
I have been back at Montrose Family Chiropractic since February 2013, however I worked for Dr Sonya 11 years ago, but had left to pursue other options. Dr Sonya however continued to be my Chiropractor. I have been seeing Dr Sonya since she started her practice over 20 years ago and would never go to anyone else. I really enjoy working in the Chiropractic field and helping patients. I wish everyone knew how much Chiropractic can help you stay healthy and live a long and eventful life!
