Dr. Sonya Tourville

I didn’t expect a miracle but I’ve seen them…

Dr. Sonya Tourville - Montrose Family Chiropractic - Chiropractor in Wright CountyWhen I was young my parents went to a chiropractor for back problems related to working on a farm. They also took my younger sister who had tonsil problems. She was sick with a fever and very lethargic while going to the chiropractor. After getting adjusted she jumped back and forth in the car on the ride home(it was before seat belt laws). She did not have to have her tonsils out. I also went to a chiropractor for an injury to my lower back and he helped me be able to walk with ease again. During college I decided that I would like to be able to help people in the same way.

Chiropractic Education

I attended Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, Minnesota. The classes there taught me to be able to exam, diagnose and treat many areas of the skeletal system. It also show me how the nervous system is the “central computer” of the body. I also enjoy continued education and have a Chiropractic Neurology Diplomat since 2001, a Croft Certification in auto accidents since 2003, and am Graston Therapy Certified since 2005.

At Montrose Family Chiropractic Clinic

Through our practice we hope to educate people about chiropractic and the benefits of natural care versus medications and surgery. Although there is a time and place for medication and surgery, chiropractic may be able to help without lasting side effects. We have patients with lower back pain, headaches, shoulder pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and TMJ problems along with many other types of problems. We treat patients of all ages from babies with colic to 100 year old patients with rib and lower back pain. The best part of practice is to change peoples lives and allow them to function without the pain or problem that was limiting them. Most recently it has been wonderful to have an 8 year old child not wet the bed through chiropractic care.

Away from Montrose Family Chiropractic Clinic

I have two wonderful children, Landon and Kaija. I love to send time with my family. My hobbies include gardening, reading, stamping, and cooking.

My family is adjusted often for sports injuries. Some things that we do to maintain our health is to exercise regularly, to eat balanced meals, and to take vitamins and herbal supplements. Even with a busy schedule we try to limit the amount of fast food we eat. When we do eat out we try to make healthy choices and share meals. When our children are sick we use chiropractic and herbal supplements first. My son has not been to our medical doctor for many years. I encourage my children to be active and limit the amount of TV and video game time.

Enough about me! How can we help you with today’s safe and natural chiropractic care? Give us a call so we can help you take your first step towards better health.CONTACT US
